is that the end? or is it just a means to an end?

and that marked the end of semester 1; a humongous pile of books and notes now awaits my decision (to burn/tear/sell to the rag-and-bone man). cant stand looking at all those notes another second longer. havent i given them all the attention they needed this past semester??

Year 1 Semester 1:
5 group presentations
2 individual presentations
3 group reports
2 individual reports
1 written assessment
2 quizzes
4 examination papers

cant believe that i survived all that! in 15 weeks! as a classmate aptly puts it, you dont know what hell is like until you experience university. =) i'm so proud of me.

yup. i've learnt alot this sem, and the quote of the semester comes from my marketing tutor, who likes to question our marketing strategies--"is that the end? or is it just a means to an end?" getting through all the projects and exams this semester isnt the end, neither is an accounting degree. they are all means to an end that i have yet to figure out. i feel like a dumbass. several classmates and hallmates of mine already have plans for the future, their END, and here i am, still experimenting all the means to my end. and mind you, those with plans are my male friends! omg. dont get deceived by their childish actions. they do know what they want.

therefore, i must get to know about the investment banking, finance, accounting and auditing, wealth management industries as best as i can by next sem. i dont want to say "i havent really thought of what i want to do" to my new-next-sem-classmates when (i bet) they have all drafted out a 50-year career plan for themselves. i was supposed to answer a question about envisioning what i would be like as a financial officer in 20years' time in a mock interview 3 weeks ago, and i just gave my teacher the O.O face. i promise myself that this shit will never happen again.

anyway, i'll miss lessons this holidays, but i have so many movies to look forward to!
1. 2012
2. paranormal activity
3. a christmas carol
4. fantastic mr. fox
5. sherlock holmes

i'm sure there's some that i left out, but oh well, you can see that i'm gonna spend at least $50 on movies. gah!
